Compiling and using dcraw for Mac OS X users

A new camera almost always means a new RAW format and the wait begins until the various RAW converters get updated. I came across a forum post about a preliminary dcraw version that supports the Fuji X100 RAW format.

What's about the LC-X100 leather case?

I seriously considered this optional Fuji case as it does away with the need for a camera bag.
For some the LC-X100 leather case might be the perfect solution but I see a few things that I don't like.

Looking for a bag for the X100

I don't like having a strap on a camera. I want to hold it "naked" and after use I want to tuck it away quickly and safely into the smallest possible camera bag I can find. Because of the fixed lens there's no need to carry additional lenses. The smaller the bag the more likely the camera will go with me.

Why I want the X100

Photography used to be simple. When you bought a film you chose the ISO sensitivity. There was a dial for setting the shutter speed and the arperture ring was on the lens.

Waiting for the X100

I'm starting a new blog.
About a camera that isn't available before April.
A camera I will most likeley buy because it looks so promising.
Let's wait and see.
